ChabDog’s Conference Final Commiseratiions:

— Maybe Big Dan just didn’t have the red badge of courage for Badgley, but it’s not always good to make your kicker feel like the Maytag repairman.

— Brock Purdy and the San Francisco machine is alive and well, raising the prospect that this team has the kind of overwhelming physical force to breakdown anyone, including the Chiefs.

–Who told the Baltimore OC he could just take the day off? What happened to the NFL’s most potent running attack? Today, it was largely  impotent, due to … total indifference. Whatever the game plan, the Chiefs’ defense generally had things under control. Nothing new here, just a more talented than usual Ravens’ team, done in by the familiar bugaboos of mindless penalties, arguably brain dead play calling (how many rushes and non-wide receiver targets were there) and unforgivable turnovers. Give the defense lots of credit for not giving up, but I lay this loss directly at the feet of Mr. MVP and the offense.
